Powers Stromberg Pension Consulting has been providing retirement plan consulting since 1972. We are a team of experienced professionals in the fields of law, accounting and pension administration. We do not sell investment products, so we are independent experts whose sole interest is in providing organizations with professional, objective advice in establishing and maintaining IRS qualified retirement plans, including profit sharing plans, 401(k) plans, money purchase pension plans, cross-tested plans, defined benefit plans and 403(b) plans for non-profit and government organizations. We have a fee schedule used to establish and administer plans, so the cost is transparent and affordable.

Mark Powers - Mark has lead the Spokane office of Powers Stromberg Pension Consulting and its predecessor since 1972. During this time he has designed and implemented literally hundreds and hundreds of retirement plans for businesses and the professions. Mark's education includes an accounting degree from Georgetown University and a law degree and MBA from Gonzaga. Neither Powers Stromberg Pension Consulting nor Mark sell investment products to retirement plans, but Mark has previously held designations as a Chartered Life Underwriter, Chartered Financial Consultant and Registered Investment Adviser, giving him insight into the investment side of Retirement Plans. Mark's extensive experience in all aspects of retirement planning provides a valuable resource for Plan Sponsors and their legal, accounting and investment advisors. Mark regularly speaks to professional organizations about retirement plan issues and was an adjunct professor in the Gonzaga University Graduate tax program. Gage Stromberg - Gage is a long-time Spokane attorney and co-owner of River City Brewing. He brings two decades of legal and regulatory experience to Powers Stromberg's third-party administration and profit sharing/401(k) consulting business. Gage's legal background includes experience with securities law, banking and insurance regulations and real estate/construction law. His experience as a business owner also helps him understand customer service and employee retention, providing value to Powers Stromberg's clients and helping them enjoy all the benefits of establishing or maintaining a retirement plan. Gage is also involved in many community activities including being a founding member of both Mobius, a children's museum and science center, and SpokeFest, a community bicycling event. Beth Elfering - Beth has over 15 years of retirement plan administration experience.
